Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the reactions of preschool teachers when faced with the situation of child abuse and neglect, their level of knowledge in determine child abuse and neglect, and their behavior to take action in this direction. The model of the research was determined as the qualitative method. In this context, 15 pre-school teachers were interviewed using criteria and accessible sampling methods. In the research, semi-structured interview form and demographic information form "Interview Form Regarding Child Abuse and Neglect" developed by the researcher was used as a qualitative data collection tool. Themes and codes were created by subjecting the qualitative data to content analysis by the researcher. As a result of the analyzes, it has been revealed that preschool teachers' reactions to child abuse and neglect situations are inadequate when evaluated in terms of detecting symptoms, defining the types of abuse and neglect, reporting the situation and obligations.
