Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this study is examination of relation between competences of pre-school teachers'science activities and attitudes against science education. The population constitutes 184 pre-school teachers working in state and private institutions of the National Education of Kastamonu provinces and districts. Pre-school teachers'competence determination scale for science activities developed by Saide Özbey, Fatma Alisinanoğlu (2010) during the second half ofthe academic year and attitude scale towords science education (ASTSE) adopted to pre-school teachers by Cho, Kim and Choi (2003) used to collect data. SPSS 22.0 package program is used in the analysis of data obtained from measuring tool. A significant relation in the positive direction is reached as a result between comfort-discomfort sub-dimension of the attitude scale applied to pre-school teachers and subdimensions of the materials and methods used in the competency scale, between pre-teaching preparation sub-dimension of attitude scale and application-related knowledge level of adequacy scale, between developmental suitability sub-dimension of attitude scale and application-related knowledge level subdimensions of adequacy scale according to the results obtained from the data analysis of research. A signifleont relation abtoined between adequacy of science activities of pre-school teaches and attitude to science teaching of pre-school teachers.
