A review on effectiveness of Reggio Rmilia Approach based education for 3rd garde preschool teachining students

Aims of this study is to survey effectiveness of education programs based on Reggio Emilia Approach applied on 3rd grade Preschool Teaching Students. Pre-test and post-test control group models ara used in this study. Groups are determined bu random assignment method on a voluntary. The study group of this research involves 26 third grade students of licede studying Pre-School Education in the Department of Primary School Education at Bolu İzzet Baysal University Education Faculty 2011-2012 education year. The study group involves 15 students and the control group involves 11 students. Pre-information test and performance test were given to these students and they were also given basic information about Reggio Emilia Approach and the samples of the practise in 5 days including 4 hours a day, total 20 hours. The knowledge test and the performance rating measures developed by the researcher were used to get the data of research. The data gathered by the knowledge test and the performance rating measures given to the students was analysed in SPSS-15 packet programme. The percentage and the frequency of the data were given in it. Manny Whitney U test was used on the changing situations which were not normally distriuted in two groups while examining the differences between the group. Wilcoxon pointing test was used to test the differences of the chancing situation of the groups before and after their workshop. While examining the differences between the groups, 0,05 was used fort he positive result. When it was p< 0,05, it was p> 0,05, it was seen that there wasn?t a positive difference between the groups. After the research it was pointed out that The Third Grade Student Of Licence Studying Pre-School Education didn?t have any information about Reggio Emilia Approach before the seminar given by the researcher. After the seminar, a positive difference of the students? knowledge and performance level about the subject was clearly observed. After the research ended with a good result, it can be recommended that Different Education Approaches and Practises should be given to the licence students of pre-school education to improve themselves for their future jobs.
