SPSS 16.0 which is computer-based statistical package analysis program is utilized to analyze the acquired data. The frequency and percentage distribution of the data reflecting the demographic features/characteristics of the families gathered via personal information form are examined. T-Test (Paired Samples T-Test) and the single factoral variance (ANOVA) analysis are used to examine the differences in terms of the independent variables (the genders, number of children of families; the ages, occupational status, educational levels of mothers and fathers; ages and genders of children) concerning the participation level of the families of the children continuing their education in the pre-school educational institution in the family participation activities. T-Test (Paired Samples T-Test) and the single factoral variance (ANOVA) analysis are used to examine the differences in terms of the independent variables (the genders, number of children of families; the ages, occupational status, educational levels of mothers and fathers; ages and genders of children) concerning the academic self-respect level of the children according to the perception of the families whose children are continuing their education in the pre-school educational institution. The family participation activities, the relationship between the participation level of the families and the academic self-respect level of the children are examined with Pearson correlation coefficient) analysis.Following the research, no significant differences are determined in the family participation scores of the families in terms of the number of children of families, the ages and educational level of the mothers and fathers, the occupational status of the fathers, the ages of the children and the genders of the children (p>.05). No significant differences are determined in the academic self-respect scores of the children according to the perception of the families in terms of the number of children of families, the ages, educational level and occupational status of the mothers and fathers, the ages of the children and the genders of the children (p>.05).
