Educating and families' options in respect of preschool foreign language education

Foreign language education which has become importantwith the transition to the eight-year education system hasbrought up the second / foreign language education in earlyage. With this working, in respect of English educationwhich is trained as a foreign language in preschool period,it is tried to observe English teachers, school directors,preschool teachers and families?s approaches to Englisheducation in early age, their opinions and expectationsregarding with this subject and the advantages anddisadvantages of foreign language education which istrained in early age.The working has been executed with 8 private schoolsand 8 state schools which train English education inpreschool and 20 English teachers, 13 school directors, 34preschool teachers with total 274 families whose childrenare taking education in these school in Seyhan district,Adana Province. In research, datas have been obtained fromthe semi-constructed English teacher?s interview form,semi-constructed school director?s interview form, semi-constructed preschool teacher?s interview form and familyquestionnaries and derived datas have been analysed inaccording with the qualitative research technics.It is appeared that educators and families have seenEnglish education in preschool period is beneficiary andnecessary and they have opinion that the regular andparmenent language education must be trained as frompreschool to the end of the secondary education.
