Teh effect of the genders of the school administrators in establishment of school health

Education is a major issue for a country`s development. For this reason, it is obligatory to give a more qualified education at schools. This quality in education can only be provided by means of educational organisations with school health that formed positively. The environment that school administrators offer to their employees and teachers, the relationships they establish, their attitudes and behaviours are major issues in establishment of school health. By means of this research, investigating the effect of the gender o school administrators on the establishment of school health is aimed. With use of research results, the behaviours and attitudes of school administrators that effect the school health positively will be inferred. Providing information to school administrators about the behaviours that effect the school health negatively thus they should avoid, is anticipated.In this research which has a scientific character,is carried out with teachers working in vocational high schools in Istanbul,in the educational year 2008-2009. In order to provide the data required in research,a two part survey has been conducted.The survey has been finalized after validation and reliability operations. The erroneous and incomplete surveys are excluded.The computer program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is used in the analysis of the research data.As a result of this research, the effect of behaviours of school administrators on school health are determined and it is observed that according to the gender ,the behaviours of the administrators result in different outcomes.Keywords: School health, Gender of administratorNovember, 2008 Uğur ERGİN
