Abstract (EN)

With the rapid development of technology, the Internet and consequently social media networks began to be used by large masses in a very short time. Social media, which is becoming more common in everyday life has also been used frequently at the ministry level in the field of education and in schools within the scope of parent-teacher-student cooperation and to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders by school administrations. The use of social media tools in school management is beneficial in many ways. Thanks to these tools, teachers can quickly access data about school management (information, announcements etc.). Because communication is faster in groups created in social media than in traditional forms of communication, it is possible for school administrators to communicate better with teachers if they use social media correctly and appropriately in school administration. In this context, the aim of the research is to investigate the teacher's opinions on the use of groups created by school administrators in social media in school management. To this end; This questionnaire was applied to the teachers at the secondary level in The Province of Düzce are given a questionnaire measuring the use of groups created in the social media by school administration and the results are evaluated with the help of the SPSS 22 program. The sample of the survey is 316 teachers out of 781 working in high schools in the center of The Province of Düzce. As a result of the research, teachers' use of groups created on social media by school management "how often do you use social media and tools" and "how often do you use social media and tools in intra-organizational communication" varies according to variables. The average score of those who use social media every day founded out to be higher than the others. Taking into account the answers given to the questionnaire, the research concluded: teachers find it useful to use social media tools in school management, they easily access data about school management (information, announcements, etc.), school administrators will be able to better communicate with teachers through social media, follow their announcements through these tools, benefit from social media in school administration will be more efficient and contribute to governance. Another important result of the study is that although teachers find the use of these groups in school management positive and follow the groups, the vast majority do not actively share. Furthermore, as a result of the study, it was stated by the teachers that the school administrators did not adequately share the information about the development of the school's physical facilities and student guidance work and procedures.
