Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between the open leadership behaviors of school administrators and the organizational creativity behaviors of teachers according to the views of primary and secondary school teachers working in Balıkesir. The sample of the study consists of 372 teachers who were selected through easy sampling among primary and secondary school teachers working in Balıkesir province, Altıeylül and Karesi districts in the 2019-2020 academic year. In the study, the data collected by using the Open Leadership Scale to determine the level of open leadership perceptions of the teachers and the Organizational Creativity Scale to determine their organizational creativity levels were analyzed with the help of a computer. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, relative coefficient of variation) as well as independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA analysis and Pearson Correlation and Regression Analysis were used. Teachers' levels of open leadership perception and organizational creativity were examined in terms of variables of gender, age, service time, education level they served and their branches. Considering the research results; It has been observed that the gender variable does not have any effect on the open leadership perceptions and organizational creativity of the teachers working in Balıkesir; It was determined that the more the age of the teachers increased, the more their open leadership perception increased, but their organizational creativity decreased. In terms of service time variable, it was observed that senior teachers' open leadership perceptions were higher but their organizational creativity was lower. In terms of the educational level variable they work in, it has been observed that teachers working in primary schools have higher perceptions of both open leadership and organizational creativity. In terms of the branch variable, it was observed that both the open leadership perceptions and the organizational creativity levels of the preschool and primary school teachers were higher. In addition, it was determined that there is a moderately positive and statistically significant relationship between school administrators' open leadership characteristics and teachers' organizational creativity. It was observed that the open leadership behaviors of school administrators were a predictor of teachers' organizational creativity behaviors, and as the open leadership behaviors of school administrators increased, teachers' organizational creativity also increased.
