Conflict management styles of school, administrators and the relationship between organizational justice

Abstract (EN)

This study is aimed to determine the relation between the conflict management style of the school principles and practice of organizational justice according to the primary school teachers and to clarify the relation between these parameters.The data of the research is taken from 728 teachers, chosen from 53 primary schools in Düzce, in 2008-2009 education year. The data is resolved, commented on and reported through statistical techniques such as frequency, percentage, mean, annova and correlation.The findings of the study could be summarized as follows; according to the teachers? opinion , school managers while dealing with conflicts, which appear between teachers and school principles, use mostly integration style and leastly use dominating style. In teachers? perception school principles mostly use operational justice and leastly use interaction justice. According to teachers? personal data, there are sensible differences between school managers? conflict management styles and teachers? organizational justice perception. And also there are sensible relations between conflict management styles and sub-dimensions of organizational justice.Key Words: Organizational Conflict, Conflict Management, Organizational Justice
