Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to find out how the administrative officers who take part significant positions in educational fields conceptualize the school and what are their concepts of school, parent, administrator and student that they designed about ideal school experience and to analyse them. Besides, we aim to identify their self-competence perception and educational, philosophical understanding in the terms of varied factors. The participants of the research are 66 school principals who hold the administration of schools in the province of Rize. This study is a mixed research model in which both quantitative and qualitative data are collected. As a result of the research, the self-competence perception and philosophical understanding of the school principals differs from each other statistically in the terms of varied factors. Besides, although it is found out that the principals feed their understanding of https://tureng.com/tr/turkce-ingilizce/progressivism progressivism irruptively, it is deduced that their perceptions of school, parent, administrator and student are notions that are closer to the behavioural approach. Considering the results of this research, it is suggested to train school administrators on perceptions of school, parent, administrator and student and ideal concepts of school, administrator, teacher, parent and student and it is suggested to design school models that are compatible with 21th century processes.
