The assesment of free dress code implementation in schools by students, teachers parents, administers, unionists

The aim of this study is to assess the decision of free dress code in schools which is handled by unions,administers,parents,students and teachers.As a study area,some high schools and secondary schools in Kilis and Gaziantep were chosen after they were appointed to stratified sampling method and categorized into socio-economic levels. Data was collected from 500 students who were chosen by 10 high school and 15 secondary school, totally, In addition, it was applied to personnel and the other related people's views which consist of 25 teachers,25 parents and 10 administers on this matter. Besides them, the results of interviews made with the representatives of education unions were included. All of the data collection tools were developed by practitioners. For this purpose, a quantitative scale and a questionnaire for students and semi- structured interview forms were designed. As a search model,quantitative and qualitative methods were used ogether. As a quantitative method,non empirical relational screening model was preffered. In the quantitative data analysis " chi-square, f test, t test, and cross tab" tools were used. In the assessment of qualitative data straight-line coding system was applied. Statistical process was fulfilled by SPSS(20.0). As a result of studies, it has been observed that the decision made in the direction of free dress code implementation develops some common points like that it results in security gap in schools,it increases school expenses and it can also have impacts on attendancy-absence in schools and some areas like psychology and socio-economy. The other section of research consists of teachers,parents,administers and unionists and most of them think that the decision of free dress code implementation in schools is suitable for applicability.
