Evaluation of reading fiction images in accordance with student and teachers' views

Reading that is one of the mother tongue skills of an individual supplies multifaceted development and changing. Reading Habit which causes problems today comes first in the matters in hand. Reading habit is that individual turns reading into a systematic form and makes it as behaviour made by her/him regularly. We come across images that emphasize the importance of reading and direct to reading and show the uses of reading in either social media or public. It is not known the effects of these images on individuals and the individuals' ideas and views and feelings about these images. The purpose of the research is the evaluation of images fictionalizated on reading in line with the views of students and teachers. This study has an importance of being effective for reading by contribution to litarature, and students and teachers, and evaluations of images edited on reading. In the research, scanning method was used. The participants of the study are Turkish teachers who can learn and work in secondary schools in the state secondary schools of Uşak in the academic year 2020-2021. The participants had been chosen on a volunteer basis. Images based on reading in Turkish textbooks were used in the study. Data of the research have been collected in the form of semi-structured interview. Questions and images used on the form are provided for expert advice. In the form, students and teachers were asked to comment on reading skills about the presented images, and they were asked to depict and draw an impressive visual. In addition, their views on how many books they read in a month, what should be done to like reading and the reading texts in the textbooks were taken. The data and the contents have been commented by descriptive analysis method. In the end of the study, the best effective images were listed.
