Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to examine the mediating role of psychological flexibility in the relationship between positive childhood experiences and subjective well-being. A total of 333 people, 250 female and 83 male students between the ages of 18-50, studying at universities in Turkey, participated in the research. Demographic Information Form, Subjective Well-Being Scale, Positive Childhood Experiences Scale and Psychological Flexibility Scale were applied to the participants. To analyze the findings, independent samples t test and one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis and mediator variable analysis were performed through the Hayes Process Macro extension. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that positive childhood experiences had a positive moderate relationship with psychological flexibility and subjective well-being. It was concluded that psychological flexibility has a mediating effect on the effect of positive childhood experiences on subjective well-being. The findings were discussed according to the relevant literature, and conclusions and suggestions for future studies were presented.
