Abstract (EN)
This study was planned for evaluating the relationship between physical activity, cardiorespiratory endurance, activity and participation limitations, and quality of life for anterior knee pain. This research was evaluated among 60 patients; research group of 30 patients having anterior knee pain (randomly selected from the orthopedic and traumatology clinics) and control group of 30 patients. International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used to evaluate level of physical activity, 12 minutes walking test was used to evaluate cardiorespiratory endurance, Notthingam Health Profile was used evaluate quality of health-related quality of life, Lysholm Scale was used to evaluate functional disorder, Activity of daily living scale was used to evaluate level of activities of daily living, Community Integration Questionnaire was used to evaluate participation in community. In this study, New York posture Analysis scale was used to evaluate the posture, Dr. Lowet? s manuel muscle test was used to evaluate muscle strength and antropometric measurements were applied to the participants. As a result of this study, level of physical activity, cardiorespiratory endurance and quality of life of the anterior knee pain group was found to be less than control group (p<0.05). In anterior knee pain group, functional disability was increasing while activities of daily living was decreasing (p<0.01). This research also showed that the social integration of anterior knee pain group was decreased (p<0.05). In conclusion, anterior knee pain affected functional capacity, physical activity level, functional disability, activity of daily living and quality of life in negative manner.Keywords: Anterior knee pain; physical activity; quality of life; functional disability; community integration.
