Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between undergraduate and associate degree students' sense of citizenship and their views on global citizenship. In addition to this aim, it was aimed to determine whether students' opinions differ significantly according to demographic variables gender, age, type of high school class, higher education institution, mother education level and father education level. For this purpose, the research was planned and conducted in correlational design in the screening model of the quantitative research type. The sample of the study consisted of 300 students selected by the method of "Criteria Sampling" among the students of Inonu University Faculty of Education and Inonu University Vocational School. A data collection tool consisting of three parts was used in the research. The first of these is the Personal Information Form, which is used to determine the personal characteristics of undergraduate and associate students, and the second is the "Citizenship Sense Scale", and the third is the "Student Citizenship Questionnaire on Global Citizenship Questionnaire". The data of the study were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistical methods. As a result of the research, it was determined that the opinions of undergraduate and associate students about citizenship and global citizenship were high. In addition, it was concluded that there is a moderate positive relationship between sense of citizenship and global citizenship. In order to increase the sense of citizenship and global citizenship awareness of undergraduate and associate students in the research, additional trainings can be given to both trainers in higher education and students.
