Exploring Pre-Licence Students' Technological Content Knowledge and Their Self-Efficacy: An application in Afyon Vocational School

In this study, the main purpose is to measure the technological level of the associate students studying in vocational schools with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model and reveal their susceptibility level with searching their self-efficacy. This research is planned to be implemented on the basis of quantitative research methods to determine the nature of the situation. The questionnarie that was conducted by researcher occured from 49 items with the TPACK model and applicated on the five point Likert-type scale. With this study the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge model was applied pre-graduate students studying for the first time in the Vocational School. Also there are five demographic questions for the research group identifier. The research group consists of Afyon Kocatepe University, Afyon Vocational School students. A total of 899 students from 20 different sections of the technical and social programs participated in the study. The ideas of the students gathered by the help of the questionnarie and ANOVA and t-test made by the analyzes of the statistics. After the analyzes the cronbach alfa factor found 0,958 value. It means that the validity and reliability of the application founded very high level. According to the results obtained from the research, education activities in Vocational schools are appropriate to the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model. Technology stand out in the Bologna Process that purposed to raise qualified human power. The students that educated in Vocational schools are technology literates and Vocational schools have a imperious requirement that they must implicate the information and communication technologies to their education process.
