Abstract (EN)
Today, the increase in alternative energy sources has accelerated as a result of the increase in human population and the decrease in fossil resources that meet this need, contrary to the increasing energy need. Biodiesel is obtained from vegetable oils, animal fats and waste oils. In the study, almond methyl ester (BME) and carrot methyl ester (HME) were produced from almond and carrot crude oil. Produced methyl esters are mixed in different ratios (20%, 60%, 100%) with nanoparticle additive and preheating at different loads (1kw, 1.5kw, 2kw, 2.5kw, 3kw) at constant speed (2000 dv/min) conditions with single cylinder air cooling. Performance and exhaust emission values of a diesel engine were investigated. In addition, the same experimental conditions were applied by mixing the same crude oils with diesel fuel at different rates (10%, 20%, 40%) by adding nanoparticles and preheating. According to the results obtained; In the use of methyl ester, a decrease in engine performance and an improvement in emissions were observed. However, it has been observed that there is an increase in engine performance thanks to the thermal and nanoparticle additives.
