The pedagogical and physiological review of the stylistic differences in singing between Opera and Musical Theater art forms and recommendations for a genuine Belting method

In this thesis, the focus is to point out the pedagogical and physiological differences between opera and musical theatre singing. Belting is a prominent vocal technique in musical theater. The definition of this technique based on subjective perception and scientific research is a key element for emphasizing the need for differentiation in vocal training between these two art forms, even though the mutual benefits of the common methods strongly exist. Therefore, it is aimed to give genuine recommendations in order to build a fundamental "belting" method for the beginner student and voice teachers in voice training.
