Fransızca yabancı dil bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin uzaktan eğitime ilişkin görüşleri: Anadolu Üniversitesi örneği

With the development of technology, innovations began to take place in education and training. This phenomenon began to develop at a time when the knowledge produced was spreading rapidly. Especially the evolution of computer and internet has directed education to this field. Especially the evolution of computer and internet has directed education to this field. In this way, learning programs with concepts such as distance education and online education have started to come to the fore in the field of education and training. Is has led to the adoption of the distance education model due to the pandemic called Covid-19 in the 2020-2021 academic year. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the views on teaching a foreign language by distance education. Participants are 1st year students of the French teaching a foreign language at Anadolu University. In order to better understand and conclude this desired situation, a mixed method has been applied. The mixed method uses both quantitative and qualitative data. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 29 participants, and then the results were analyzed. Finally, in order to further deepen our study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 5 volunteers. The results obtained show that the students of Anadolu University French teaching program have a negative opinion of distance education.
