Abstract (EN)

In all manufacturing methods, it is very importtant that there is a satisfactory roughness quality besides the geometric tolerances of the workpiece. Surfaces processed using different processes methods are directly or indirectly affected from the parameters.used. Poor valve parameters cause losses such as rapid apsasion and brekage of the cutting insets or economic loss such as low surface quality and unusable work pieces. How ever in order to minimize the surface roughness, it is necesary to investigate the effects of the processing parameters on the surface roughness and to suitable processing methods by using different methods. In this study, it is aimed to measure the surface roughness of AISI 1040 steel according to the determined processing parameters and determine the optimum surface treatment parameters. Thıs the AISI 1040 steel is first machined according to various machining parameters and then surface roughness values are obtained as a result of the machining. After words, these surface roughness values are analysed by both Analytical Network Process (ANP) method which is one of multi criteria decision method and Taguchi methods seperetely, and optimum surface treatment parameters are determined by comparing the results obtained from both methods.
