An examination on the trational Ordu houses

The study covers to inspect general architectural characteristics of traditional houses in Ordu city which has been studied only historical view and analysis of important typological characteristies of traditional Ordu Houses. Moreover, in this study, the place and importance of traditional Ordu Houses in Turkish Houses are emphasized.The thesis is formed by four parts.In the first part, physical and historical characteristics of Ordu city, the concept of traditional architecture, common characteristies of traditional East Black Sea houses and traditional Ordu houses are explained.In the second part, study plan and choice of house models, use of technique and methods, typological analysis, analysis of house characteristics and forming of charts are explained.In the third part, the general layout properties, plan and facade types of houses, their tissue, construction technique, construction materials, components of influencing facede are analysed.In the fourth part, there are obtained results.
