Evaluation of contributions of ORFF approach to cognitive development process

This research has been realised in order to evaluate of contributions of Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Education to the process of cognitive development. This study that evaluates the contribitions of Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Education to cognitive development processes, is prepared through investigate Jean Piaget, Lev S. Vygotsky and Jerome Bruner's cognitive development theories that lead to set off constructivist approach. At the end of this point set out with the question that determined as main problem question "What is the contribution of the Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Education approach to the cognitive development processes of preschool children?" and included eight sub-problem. As a result of the study, it was revealed that Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Education had a direct effect on cognitive development theories due to the common aspects of Piaget, Vygotsky and Bruner's cognitive development theories.
