Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between the satisfaction of work and thesatisfaction in accomodation, that the officers and the non-commisionedofficers (NCOs) who work for the Turkish Land Forces Command (TLFC)have, has been examined and the differentiation in the both sides among thepersonnel due to the demographic and organizational characteristics hasbeen tried to be put forward. The term ?work satisfaction? expresses thepositive feelings and thoughts that have been developed by the officers andthe NCOs towards their work. In this study, the work satisfaction has beentaken as the dependent variable; and the literature had been reviewed. Thefactors that are evaluated as having an impact on the work satisfaction of theofficers and the NCOs have been handled while the satisfaction in housinghas been taken as the determining element for the work satisfaction. At thesame time, the effects of the individual and organizational variables on thesatisfaction in housing has been tried to be pointed out.This study consists of an introduction and five main chapters. Theintroduction gives the aim, the scope and the significance of the study. Thefirst chapter deals with the concept of work satisfaction and its definition, thestudies carried out on the work satisfaction and the Theoretical Approacheson Work Satisfaction. The second chapter includes some certain information about the body of current law in the public and at the TLFC by givinginformation on the concept of housing, The Public Law on Housing, TheRegulations on Public Housing, and the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF)Directory for Housing. The third chapter emphasizes the theoreticalframework and the methods of research, while referring to such informationas the model of research, the constructed scales, the validity and thereliability of the these scales, the field of research, the samples, the way ofapplication for the scale, and the statistical methods of analysis which areused. The fourth chapter includes the findings and evaluations which wouldbe helpful in finding out the levels of work satisfaction and the satisfaction inhousing for the officers and the NCOs who work at TLFC. The fifth and thefinal chapter presents the conclusions that are reached through the data andthe findings which are analysed in scope of the theoretical framework givenin the precedent chapters. The significance of these conclusions for TLFChas been evaluated and some suggestions are made in the areas which arethought to construct an infrastructure for the future studies.
