Organization culture and its applications: Altin Cini Seramik Sanayi INC

The enterprises which have a strong organization culture have an importantdominance in the developing rivalry market. The organization culture that comes out ofrules, values and habits shared all over the organization is affected by the cultural valuesof the community they belong to. Every society has a different culture and theorganizations in societies also have different organizations culture from each other.The purpose of this master thesis is to explain the concept of organizationculture specifically to identify the organization culture model at Altin Cini SeramikSanayi Inc. and to analyze the differences in the evaluation process of organizationculture in accordance to demogrpahic features of company employees.In the first part of the study, culture, the organization culture and the basicelements of organization culture is defined. In the second part, the formation oforganization culture, organization socialization and organization culture models areexplained and the third part presents the research results which were derived from thesurveys conductued at Altın Cini Seramik Sanayi Inc. To explain the organizationalculture, Charles Handy?s organizational culture model was placed at the core of thisresearch; Handy analyzed his organization culture model by classifying it into fourcategories: power culture, role culture, task culture and individual culture. Therefore, toidentify the organization culture along with the demographic features (gender, age, birthdate and position) of the workers at the Altin Cini Seramik, Inc. a new survey has beendesigned based on Handy?s organizational culture survey and later the derived data wasanalyzed with SPSS 10.0 for Windows program.Keywords: Company, culture, culture?s models, organization, organization culture,
