An analysis of organizational culture based on the competing values framework

The study aims to identify the present organizational culture structure in Probation and Help Services Branch Directorates based on the competing values framework.The sample of the study consists of a total of 367 personnel; 60 branch director, 97 supervising officials and 210 supervising clerks. Data was collected by administering the `Organizational Culture Scale? to the working group. Collected data was analyzed by utilizing the SPSS 18.00 package program. The results based on the findings of the study are as follows:According to the views of the personnel who answered the questionnaire; the existing organizational culture in Probation and Help Services Branch Directorates are closer to hierarchy culture. The present organizational culture perceptions of the personnel show a meaningful difference according to gender. The findings show that there is a meaningful difference by age in the perception of organizational culture in terms of clan, adhocracy and hierarchy cultures whereas perceptions related to the market culture has not shown any significant change. There is a meaningful difference in the perception of organizational culture by the title of the personnel. There are no significant differences in organizational culture perceptions based on educational levels and the year of work at the organization. Total work period shows a meaningful difference in perceptions of organizational culture.Key Words: Organizational Culture, Competing Values Framework, Probation and Help Services Branch Directorates
