Effect of employee perceived power bases on organizational commitment: A study

Özet (EN)

The aim of the study is to define the power bases perceived by employees and to research the effects of these bases on organizational commitment.To accomplish claimed aim, a ?power bases-organizational commitment relations model? was first developed. Then a survey was conducted to collect individual level data on a) personal power and positional power perceptions, b) effective, continuance and normative commitment levels about organization, and c) demographic characteristics of participants.Based on the results acquired by analyzing the model using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, it is found that personal power perceptions effect effective commitment and normative commitment, positional power perceptions effect effective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment dimensions.
