The impact of organizational justice and trust on knowledge sharing

Knowledge sharing is an important issue for all organizations. In order for organizations to be sustainable, they need to follow environmental changes and adapt to these changes. The realization of these goals of organizations depends on providing effective knowledge management and producing new knowledge. Knowledge sharing is critical importance in both knowledge management and knowledge production stages. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of organizational justice and trust on knowledge sharing. For this purpose, data were collected from 421 employees working in the private and public sectors in Turkey with convenience sampling method. According to the results of the research, process justice and infornational justice significantly affect trust in the administrator. Distribution and interpersonal justice, on the other hand, do not significantly affect trust in the manager. When the results regarding the dimension of trust in the institution are examined, all organizational justice dimensions except the distributive justice dimension significantly affect the dimension of trust in the institution. When the relationship between organizational justice and knowledge sharing is examined, interpersonal and informational justice has a significant effect on information sharing, while process and distributive justice have no significant effect on knowledge sharing. Finally, the effect of organizational trust on knowledge sharing was examined. According to the results, both trust in the manager and trust in the organization significantly affect knowledge sharing.
