Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the organizational commitment of the employees working in the disabled care center and their emotional labor, burnout and general self-efficacy beliefs. The working group consists of 298 personnel between the ages of 19-65. 193 (64.8%) of the participants are women and 105 (35.2%) are men. Only staff currently working in a disability care center were included in the study. In order to obtain data on organizational commitment, the organizational commitment scale developed by Meyer, Allen and Smith (1993) and adapted to Turkish by Dağlı, Elçiçek and Han (2018) was used. The emotional labor scale, developed by Diefendorff et al. (2005) to measure the tendency of emotional labor in business life, has been adapted to Turkish by Basım and Gözçirbaş (2012). In order to obtain data on burnout scores, the Burnout Inventory developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adapted to Turkish by Çapri (2006) was used. The General Competence Belief Scale developed by Jerusalem and Schwarzer (1992) was adapted to Turkish by Çelikkaleli and Çapri (2008). The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 package program. According to results of the study, organizational commitment and positive emotional labor examined the relationship of independent variables with non-significant, significant and negatively with burnout, with a belief in the competence overall, it was observed that there is a significant relationship in the positive direction. According to the regression analysis, it was found that burnout and general competence belief predict organizational commitment. In addition, significant differences were found in the direction of differentiation of organizational commitment according to gender, age, the most serviced disability group and perceived management style variables.
