Organizational healht: A civil government survey in Izmir

Abstract (EN)
Organizational health is not only survives in its environment, but also grows, improves struggle and living abilities in long term. Organizational health is an important concept in reflecting climate, culture, efficiency and giving information about organization to managers.In this paper, organizational health definition, conceptions that have a relationship between organizational health, dimensions of organizational health, healthy and unhealthy organizatins differences, needs to improve organizational health, researchs that were formed about organizational health, and a application was done in a civil government .are taken place. This paper?s general aim is to identify civil government?s organizational health state according to views of workers. The other aim is to analyse any differences between organizational health and demographic variables.There are 20 questions that were improved by Rosen-Berger and five questions about demographic variables in survey form. There are total 25 questions. Likert scale is used to grade survey form. Variables are analised with SPSS program. Rosen-Berger has denoted that total points of the answers show organizational health state. The organizations that have between 85-100 point are healthy, between 50-85 point are both healthy and unhealthy, under 50 point are unhealthy. Factor analisis had been exhausted Rosen-Berger?s 20 criteria were prioritized under tree faktors. Anova and t-test analisis showed that there is not significant relationship between age, education, seniority and organizational health. There is a significant relationship between gender , business title and organizational health.Frequency analysis shows that organization have healthy and unhealthy organization characteristic. That is why to reach organizational health, managers should have to improve about the subjects that is enclosed by questions.
