Abstract (EN)
The industrial revolution and its subsequent rapid transformation, change and developments in many areas affected organizations and employees. Organizations are trying to survive by pushing their limits in order to survive in a competitive environment and employees to adapt to changing and developing life conditions. While following the innovations, it tries to adapt to the order that is constantly changing and uncertain. This situation causes organizational stress. Stressful events in organizations undoubtedly affect the behavior of employees. In this study, the mediating role of organizational silence, will be investigated in the relationship between organizational stress and cyberloafing. In this research, which was carried out with 470 people working in an affiliated ministry at T.R., a questionnaire consisting of 4 sections and 60 statements was used as a data collection tool. SPSS 25, Lisrel and R Studio software were used to analyze the data. Descriptive statistics were calculated to answer the research questions, unrelated samples t test, Mann Whitney U test, one-way analysis of variance for unrelated measurements and Kruskal Wallis H test were used to calculate difference according to demographic characteristics. Pearson Product Moments Correlation Coefficient was calculated to examine the relationship. Structural Equation Model was used to test the mediation analysis. As a result of the research, no relationship was found between organizational stress and cyberloafing. Negative, low level significant difference between orgaizational stress and organitaional silence; positive, low level significant relationships were found between organizational silence and cyberloafing. The partial mediating role of organizational silence in the relationship between organizational stress and cyberloafing has been identified.
