Abstract (EN)

Everything that is unique to societies, materially and spiritually, constitutes culture. Literary works have a great role in transferring culture from generation to generation. The presence of folkloric elements in the works mirrors the life of the society and enables the creation to gain depth. The intense use of folkloric elements in Turkish literature reveals the richness and diversity of Turkish culture. In this context, folklore is an important discipline to understand the cultural heritage of societies. Orhan Pamuk successfully used folklore and folk literature elements in his works. He has gained a global readership by synthesizing Western culture and Turkish culture. The folkloric elements, which he has used in his works are of great importance in terms of introducing our culture to different geographies. In this study, folk literature and folklore elements were classified in Orhan Pamuk's nine works after 2010, and their places of use and purposes were determined.
