Abstract (EN)
Intertextual relations, in the most general sense, are based on the principle that a text is related to other texts previously written. This relationship is defined by various categories, considering the characteristics of usage.Establishing a theoretical area of investigation, intertextuality, as a method of text analysis in postmodernism, has gained an important place in Turkish literature, as it has in World literature.Using intertextuality by taking the sources of East and West as reference, one of the most prominent figures in Turkish literature, Orhan Pamuk is one of the authors referring to intertextuality most.Regarded as the turning point in Pamuk's career and as one of his most significant works, the Black Book is a novel in which methods and techniques of intertextuality are frequently used. This study aims to provide a detailed description of the techniques of intertextuality used in the Black Book such as citation, referent, parody, pastiche, collage-bricolage, cliché, story within a story.Addressing the novel within the scope of a theoretical framework, this study takes the life and literary personality of Orhan Pamuk into consideration, as well.
