Economic and social evaluation of the expectation level of the support to the forest villager (Daday case)

This study, which was carried out on the ORKOY supports given to forest villagers who have an important place in Turkey's forestry, consists of two parts. In the first part, the distribution of forest villages-villagers in Turkey at the provincial level and the temporal variation of the supports given by ORKÖY between 1974-2020 are revealed. In the second part of the study, a survey was conducted with two different groups, consisting of forest villagers who received the ORKOY support and forest villagers who did not receive the ORKOY support, from forest villages in the Daday district of Kastamonu province between 2015-2021. The results and suggestions regarding the demographic structure of the participants, their perception of the forest, their views on ORKOY, and their views on the forest villagers and their rights according to the participants are presented by the survey study.
