In this dissertation, the architecture in the Central Anatolia which is developed by the changes in the political system of Iron Age and the urbanization process formed via of this architecture are analysed. Kerkenes Dağ, Göllüdağ and Gordion are among the centers which are analysed in relation to the urbanization process formed by the political developments of the Iron Age, stand out with the variety of their architectural relics.The research is made by focusing on the centers which are located on the Northern and Southern parts of Kızılırmak. These centers are specifically Pazarlı, Alaca Höyük, B. Güllücek, Boğazköy, Maşat Höyük, Kaman- Kalehöyük, Kırşehir- Yassıhöyük, Kerkenes Dağ, Alişar, Ovaören-Yassıhöyük, Kültepe, Göllüdağ, Porsuk/ Zeyve Höyük, Suluca Karahöyük, Gözecik, Sultanhanı, Kululu, Gordion, Elbistan Karahöyük and Yassıdağ. The architectural development is studied on the relics coming to the fore from the centers above. The quality of the localized architectural structures is analysed in the time sequence of the Iron Age in relation to material and labour technology.According to the relics coming to the fore, it is possible to say that the communities living in the Iron Age in the Central Anatolia experienced architectural developments during the Early Iron Age,Middle Iron Age and the Late İron Age which also led to development of the urbanization.Key WordsIron AgeCentral AnatoliaArchitectureUrbanization
