Women and the problems they face in Central Anatolia ((XVI-XIX centuries)

The aim of this study is the XVI. and XIX. The aim is to reveal the role of Turkish women in the family and their value in the legal field, social and economic life in Central Anatolia in the centuries. As a matter of fact, women will come and they should be at least as visible as the opposite sex. Since the subject has not been studied before, it was discussed in order to draw a general framework for the problems experienced by women in Central Anatolia and to determine the social and economic importance of women based on their status and education. The study focused on the role of Ottoman Turkish women in the Central Anatolian provinces; woman in the 16th and 19th centuries. His social and legal status in the centuries, his educational status and place in working life, and all kinds of violence he suffered are explained with examples. In addition, this study is important in terms of the fact that there has not been enough research on the subject regionally and therefore it will fill the gap in this field and benefit those who are interested. While carrying out this study, first the sources dealing with Ottoman women were scanned. After reading the Sharia registry transcriptions of the period subject to the study, Atik complaint book transcription and evaluations, and articles on the subject and mastering the subject, the writing phase was started. The reason why we prefer the Sharia Registers as a source is that it reflects the life and family life of the Ottoman Society in the best way and is the primary source to be consulted when doing research on Ottoman social life. Therefore, in our study, the Registers are a first-hand source because they are the original documents of the Ottoman Empire. Therefore, it is accurate and reliable. Due to the existence of previously transcribed sharia registers, data related to the research topic was easily accessed. Thus, the parts of the evaluated registry that are relevant to our research topic have been added to our article. Complaint (Waste) notebooks, which contributed greatly to my work, were also a good resource for me not to work. Because complaint books enabled us to see and investigate disputes and crimes such as rape, assault and kidnapping. When it came to the writing stage, women's status in the family, their role in social and economic life, and all kinds of grievances they experienced were tried to be well analyzed and interpreted. As a result, in the XIX. The importance of Central Anatolian women, whose social role was limited until the Tanzimat Edict declared in the 19th century, was emphasized in the social sphere despite all the limitations and restrictions.
