Abstract (EN)
The tent element is one of the solutions that the individual has found to the need for shelter and protection in the context of direct or indirect relationships with nature since the beginning of human history. Although the uses, materials and methods of the tent have changed, the need for shelter in nature, which is the main reason for the tent's existence, still constitutes one of the basic components that define the tent. Mankind has been in search of aesthetics and beauty since its existence, and it is not satisfied with the fact that the products that emerge in many areas such as the places where they live, clothing and architecture are only useful or meet their needs. Of course, different geographical conditions and climatic conditions have a great impact on the resulting products. Every need that arises; brought with it elements such as color, motif, material, technique and composition, and these elements became the cultural value of that society after a while. "Tent culture and motifs have touched on the place and importance of Turkish culture from Central Asia to the present day. The aim of this research is to reflect the Central Asian period tent culture and motifs on contemporary ceramics. In the second part, general characteristics of tent culture, motifs in tent content; technical features such as color, shape, pattern and composition were examined. In the last part of the research, an artistic evaluation was made and it was completed with the interpretation of forms and surfaces in contemporary ceramic art.
