The influence of art courses in secondary education on art-related occupational choices students

II SUMMARY One of the most important common aspects of the contemporary and civilized communities is esteem paid for the art and artists. People elected the art as a profession themselves and keep their lives by means of art such as "Artists, Art Educators, Art Historians, etc." found initial basis of these with art education courses taken before primary and middle education schools. The period constituting the professional conscious of people is the middle education period. Therefore, we took up that period and art education courses given in this period in our search. How the art education to be applied in the middle education schools does guide students in the way of art? Can the art educators tell the artistic professions and art to students by the exact meaning? It was tried to be found replies of these questions in the thesis search. A questionnaire study was carried out in three high schools selected in different regions aimed to students and by means of that study it was tried to be determined viewpoint of student for art and artistic professions. Moreover, qualification of art education applied in our schools was examined vie theoretical resources, discussions and observation. Outcomes of the questionnaire were commented one by one. Expression of the "Art Education" to be frequently mentioned in the thesis study contains the section regarding plastics arts of courses given in the middle education schools and "Art Educator" also describes the teachers of those courses.
