Tendency leisure time evaluation of secondary education stdents (Ankara Sample)

Purpose of the work, research the notion of considering free time of students of secondary education in terms of different variables.Students who study at secondary publich schools at 2007-2008 education year in center district af Ankara on the brink of 827 gentlemen (%52,8) and 740 ladies (%47,2) totally 1567 voluntary students had been joined.Gathering tool which is used in this research was developed by research worker.By preparing questions of the survey which on the direction by searching releated literature, opinions of the experts on this field had been taken.Calculated Cronbach Alfa inner consistence coefficient for testing reliability of the survey is 88.As well the analysis of obtained data, represented statistic was used.Even though to resolve demographic data, rate of frequency was taken.Concept which is releated to social-demographic properties and recreative habits, data for crossed table and dissmilarities configured by Chi square at 0,05 sense level.The investigate is figured on scanning modal.Scanning modal is research modal which describes a situation in the past or exists now.Accordingly, in this research trend of students for using their free time was betrayedUniverse of this work, students who is studing at publich secondary schools in center district af Ankara at 2007?2008 education year.Because of impossibility for research conditions instead of getting sample all universe, sampling was created by ?Basic Casual Illustration?.With referance to this illustration the sample of research was composed by volunteer students impending 740 ladies and 827 gentlemen at 31 secondary education foundation.Gathering tool which is used in this research was developed by research worker.On the light of data gained by scanning the literature which is related to subject an outline of survey was created.By offering the survey to experts, from the point of practice and validity of configuration desiared to be examined.Thus at the end of ideas connected to validity an survey that consist on 43 questions based on experts sight.Afterwards on the reliability work Cronbach Alfa inner consistence coefficient of the survey was found 88 on students of Yenimahalle Atatürk Anadolu High School (n=124).At this point it is proved that the currency of the survey is high and it can be used for assesment for researching considering free time of students at secondary education.Before the position of exercise survey needed legal permissions had been taken by correspondence between Ankara Governorship and Management of National Education.The survey had been made by the researcher personally and in the course of practice, participants were lighted by giving information about the survey and be ensured to pay attention. Practice of the survey took aproximately thirty-five minutes. The survey practiced in october, november and december, 2007On the analysis of the data which is gained from frame of aim of the research, primarily data that releated to participants social-demographic properties, frequency (f) and percent (%) were solved by calculating.Concept which is releated to social-demographic properties and recreative habits by trasforming crossed table dissmilarities configured by Chi square ? meaningfulness test (x2) at 0,05 sense level.In conclusion it is clear that half of families of students(%51,5) take place middle salary group.Ladies spend their pocket money on clothing and gentlemen spend their money on sporting activities.Students who goes to private teaching institution do not have enough free time.Male students lean more positive than female students to use cigarette and male students use cigarette more than female students.female students aganist to harshness events beside male students.Equipments at school are not enough after all students on trade schools make use of equipments more than other students.Students at preparatory and last class have many classes.Students at last year of their school while preparing to exam for univerisity do not have time for free time activities.Whereas students at high schools which has english education intend to basketball, volleybal, badminton, table tennis, tennis, students at trade school intend to athleticism, wrestling, judo.If there is possibility students prefer mountaineering, trekking, ski, swimming, bcycle sports.Also it is fixed that directors of trade schools take a bright view of activities for considering free time.Key Words :Recreation, Free Time, Secondary Education, Youthful
