Abstract (EN)

The first step to a succesfull education is to lead a class through scientific methods. To achieve this, the teachers that are leaders of classes are to have some proficiencies. There is no definite limit about these proficiencies for class management but through this research; physical arrangement (management) of the class, preparation of curriculum and implementations, using time effectively, organizing class inteior affairs, developing and organizing students? behaviours are also handled. The skills above teachers must have have been figured out by teachers? own critics.According to this, the challenging topic of the survey has been formed as ; "What level are the teachers? that teach in Regular highschools which gives Formal and Day Education, class management skill in teachers? opinions? ?This topic consists of five sub-problems. These are;1-What level are the teacher?s proficiencies about their classes? physical management?2-What level are the teacher?s proficiencies about constructing curriculum and implementation?3-What level are the teacher?s proficiencies about organizing their classes? interior affairs?4-What level are the teacher?s proficiencies about time management?5-What level are the teacher?s proficiencies about devoping and organizing students? behaviours?It cannot be expected to inquire and improve the unwanted behaviours caused by teachers? unskillfulness before they occure. From this aspect, this survey will help the teachers define the dimension of class management that if they are good at or not. Learning what level are their proficiencies about class management teachers will take some actions that developing and changing themselves.The limitations of this survey are formed with the followings;1- The survey is limited by, province İstanbul, and the teachers? opinions teaching in highschools on Anatolian side.2- The survey is limited by teachers? management of physical class atmosphere, constructing curriculum and implementation, organizing classes? interior affairs, time management, devoping and organizing students? behaviours.The subjects that are exceptional but mentioned in this survey have been processed under the heading of ?Teachers? interestsclass management Proficiencies.3-Datum obtained through this survey is limited by the information taken via questionnaires.In this survey using questionnaire we tried to define what levels are teacher?s management proficiencies according to Inspectors? opinions. In this survey, the general scanning model has been carried out out of scanning models.As study area, province İstanbul, highschool teachers that work on Anatolian Side of İstanbul have been picked up.Through this research, questionnaire has been carried out as an instrument of collecting datum. Quastionnaire consists of one division and 5 sub-division to measure the magnitude of problem. These questions have scaled the teachers? class management skills.The questionnaire have been carried out on 50 people.Four scales have been implied to define teachers? class management skills. These are, (1) never, (2) sometimes, (3) Generally, (4) Always.Key words: Class management, highschool teachers, self assesment of teachers.ConclusionMost teachers find themselves skillful enough about class management. There are obvious challenges about the management of class? phyhsical atmosphere, preparing schedule and carrying it out, arranging inter-class affairs, using time sufficiently and developing students? behaviours and sub-problems. In case that the sexes differentiate; except some occasions, there occur meaningfull differences. As for the difference in professional working lenght; at some points there are some certain differences between long time-working teachers and short time-working teachers.
