Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is , to examine the motivation degree of secondary school teachers in respect of their own perceptions , to determine which causes motivates them and also to classify the causes of motivation in the context of internal and external factors. The methodology used in this research is interview method. İn this research , conceptual outline based on literature review was built and in order to configure an interview form pre-interviews were made with the teachers. Then , half structured interview form was built with academician consultancy. The universe of this research consists of 12 Anadolu High Schools in Çankaya district and 510 secondary school teachers who work in these high schools. İnterviews were made with 100 secondary school teachers who work in five Anadolu High Schools in Çankaya district. At these interviews willingness was obsorved. This research is a qualitative study. İnterviews were made by using half structured interview forms. Comparisons were made with the data obtained from these interviews and analyzed whether there is mutual harmony and overlaps. Half structured interview forms and special transfers were evaluated and according to the facts obtained , suggestions have been made. The most important result obtained from this research is , teachers are mostly motivated from external factors.
