Abstract (EN)
This study is made to find out if there any meaningful differences for the students having attended sport competitions between the sport motivation scale and sex, age, father education, mother education and how long they have been in sports.The research group is made by 150 female and 250 male athletests ?all of whom are students in secondery school in Kastamonu and all of whom attended sports competitions? chosen random among 650 student athletests registered by Kastamonu Director of National Education. 35 survey sheet, having filled wrong, are not evaluated.Personal knowlege form made by the rescarcher and Sport Motivation Scale (SMS) created by Pelleteir and his friends are used as a mean of collecting data. Acording to normality research, X2 test is applied to analyze the data.At the end of the research, via the questions applied to the students having attended the sports competitions, ıt has been found out that there is a meaningful difference at the level of 0.01 between the variety of sex, age, how long they have been in sports, mother education, father education and sports motivation scale.
