Determining the relationship between perceived poverty and old age and aging attitudes in individuals in middle adulthood and old age

With this study, which aims to determine the relationship between individuals' perceived poverty and old age and aging, it is aimed to reveal the factors that individuals are concerned about the aging process and the old age period in order to ensure successful aging, Identifying obstacles to successful aging, Determining the relationship between the level of poverty perceived by individuals within their living standards (Absolute Poverty, Relative Poverty, Human Poverty), old age and aging attitude (Difficulty in Accepting Old Age, Perception of Social Wear, Difficulty in Coping with Life, Negative Image), and acceptance of the elderly in social life as a part of society, community-basedaging model and welfare levelIt is expected to contribute to the literature in terms of determining the obstaclestoliving a high life and economic empowerment of individuals in the aging process. Therefore, with this study, it is aimed to make important contributions to the development of new service policies for aging and old age problems, where the negative impact of poverty, which is predicted to be one of the important social problems of the future. The research is a quantitative study in the relational screening model and purposive sampling, one of the random sampling types, is planned to be used within the scope of the study. Individuals aged 45 and over will be included in the sample and the aim is to collect data online. Individuals aged 45 and over living in Turkey constitute the population of the research. According to TUIK (2022) data, 26,980,965 of the population consists of individuals aged 45 and over. The sample size, determined by focusing on the 95% confidence level to ensure the adequacy of representing the universe, is 385. Therefore, it is planned to include 385 individuals aged 45 and over in the study. It is aimed to collect data online. Thus, it is expected that the sample will be diverse by collecting data from different social environments. "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher, "Poverty Perception Scale" and "Attitude Scale towards Old Age and Aging" will be used as data collection tools.
