Abstract (EN)
"In this study, to meet the ever-increasing demand for raw materials in board industry and to provide alternatives lignocellulosic raw material, by taking advantage of the underground riches of our country, it is investigated that whether Rock salt, Calcite, Borax pentahydrate and Talk minerals, which are inorganic fillers, can be used both in the laboratory and factory production in the production of medium density fiberboard." Inorganic fillers reinforced medium density fiberboard panels (2100x4900x18 mm) were produced in Divapan Integrated Wood Panel Industry And Trade Inc. plants. Chips used in fiber production have been subjected to the process of cooking for 4-5 minutes in Asplunddefibrator with the vapor pressure of 7-7.5 bar, and 180ºC temperature, 1.5 % paraffin has given to baked chips before fiber processing and this process is given in segments. 1% ammonium sulfate to be pulverized are added to fibers on output of defibrillator and blowline line. Inorganic fillers prepared in a separate tank, instead of lignocellulosic fibers used for the production of 1 m³ MDF, urea formaldehyde glue as a solution 3% (20 kg), 6% (40 kg), 9% (60 kg) percent mixed are given to fibersas pulverized on blowline. After this step, the fibers entering the drying lines are dried to 8% - 12% moisture and draft board is formed in paving section. Boards are produced in condition of multiple presses, 185-190°C temperature, 32-34 kg/cm² pressure and 270 second pressing time. Boards both sides following the acclimatization process were emeried with sanding belts that 50, 80 and 120 grit size. Physical experiments; density, thickness swelling (2h?24h) and surface absorption, toluene test surface, the surface brightness, colour changes test and biodegradation analyzes, were made to boards produced by the laboratory and factory. Tests, mechanical and technological properties, modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE), and internal bond (IB), screw holding ability perpendicular to plane of board, Janka hardness were conducted to this board. According to test results, Calcite material was found to be the most suitable mineral for the production both in terms of cost and technological properties.MDF combustion tests; AKY, KKY, KHY, AKY luxury, KKY luxury, KHYluxury and İYB, KHYS, weight loss tests were carried out. It was observed that resistance to fire increases as the amount of inorganic fillers in these boards.It is understood that Borax pentahydrateand Talk minerals are least fire-resistant material.Inorganic minerals, Calcite, Talk, and Borax pentahydrate (3%, 6%, 9%) ratios respectively in terms of the effect of corrosion on steel AISI 316, AISI 304, ST-37 is the best anti-corrosive minerals, but the 6% rate of 9% Rock salt mineral observed the most korozotif effect and not appropriate to use on metal surfaces. As a result, it is concluded that inorganic fillers minerals can be used in the production of MDF.Key words: Borax, Calcite, Corrosion, Fiber Board, Fire Retardant, Inorganic Substances, MDF, Rock Salt, Talk, Technological Properties
