The comparison of students'aspects of perception towards the environments aesthetics they live in of those who have taken the art education and not on the level of 10th grade in high school

In this research the differences between the perceptions towards environment?s aesthetics they live in are evaluated among those who have taken the art education and those have not in Atatürk High School and Sürmeli High School on the level of 10th grade in the center of Yozgat province in education year of 2007?2008.This research has been on 10th grade general high school students in the center of Yozgat province through 50 students from 10th grades of both Sürmeli High School which has lessons of visual arts education in its curriculum and Atatürk High School which has not. Subjects of the exemplification have been selected through the method of random assignment.In order to collect the data Likert Manner Scale is formed.It is aimed that the students should show the consciousness of environmental aesthetics.At the end of the inventions of this research the frequency and percantage values are used. The data is analyzed by the packet programme of SPSS 16.0.Through the evaluation of the data the tables and column graphics are used.According to the table of this research?s end (attachment 4: Culmination Table) ;1.In conclusion of the manner scale application; it has been observed that there are evident differences between those who have taken art education lessons and those who have not by means of the environmental aesthetics consciousness. As a result it is observed that the students? environmental aesthetics consciousness could be directly related to their art education.2. Scales of environmental aesthetics; mean to be the features of one place for being accepted as aesthetical. The students who have taken the education of visual arts are thought to own the appropriate environmental aesthetics consciousness3.The lesson of visual arts education may make individuals gain a lot of cognizances that could be the base for plastic arts as; form, two dimensions, three dimentions,beauty, aesthetics apprehension of learning, comprhension and interpreting. It is thought that throughout the process of art education learning the students show a kind of positive development by means of perception. Students whose consciousness of environmental aesthetics were formed are able to perceive all objects and the environment via that consciousness. The experienced environmental aesthetics is also seen among the topics used by the art education to form the level of consciousness in individuals.4. Visual arts (drawing-crafts) lesson at the high school 10th grade level with the units of visual description, aesthetics,three dimension arrangements, colour,sculpture in the visual arts lesson programme in 2007-8 of our research supplies the basic sufficiencies through making students gain the consciousness of aesthetics perception aspect.In direction of these units? teachings, 10th grade students will be able to evaluate the ways they walk, streets, cities, houses they live in,buildings and also the works of art they see with the consciousness of aesthetic perception.
