Abstract (EN)

In this study, during instruction of grammar in Language and Expression Course to 9th classes of secondary education, activities using drama method are performed and it is aimed to evaluate whether or not the method used has increased the level of the students in learning subjects. To realize this objective; The sampling of the study has consisted of totally 200 students; 100 students as experimental group and 100 as control group, who were attending to four secondary education institutions in the city center of Kırsehir during 2006-2007 education year. As to the model of such study is Final-Test Control Group Essay. In this study, dramatic activities have been prepared for the subject of Sentences Elements selected Sentence Knowledge unit. The subject has been discussed through dramatic activities to the experimental group and traditional method to the control group between the dates 08/01/2007 ? 12/01/2007. Upon completion of the subjects, a 25-question achievement test aiming to major the achievements concerning the subjects has been applied to both groups. The data obtained from the achievement test has been analyzed by independent t-test. According to the findings of the study; a meaningful differences in favor of experimental group who discussed the course via dramatic method has been found between the learning levels of the students regarding sentence elements. Therefore; in teaching the grammar subjects during Language and Expression course to the 9th classes, it has been concluded that the drama method would influence the learning levels of the students in an affirmative direction.
