Theaching efficiency of secondary school geography teachers (Kırşehir example)

Ill ABSTRACT In this research, it has been studied to identify what the opinions of teachers and students are in teaching ability of secondary education geography teachers. The research has been under four chapters which are entry, method, analysed datas and comments, results and suggestions. The research has been aplied face to face to secondary education geography teachers and their students with a teacher and student questionarie which was prepared by the research and whose confident was checked. The datas which were obtained with data collection methodhave been analysed using frequency (f), percent (%), arithmetic average (X ), standart to resort ( SS ) and t- test, suitable for the purposes. The results of analysis have been commented by getting use of SPSS ( Statistical Peckage for Social Siciences ). In the research no meaningful difference has been found among teachers' and students' opinions in accordence with sex. A meaningful difference among students in accordence with school types has been found. No meaningful difference among the teachers opinions who joined the research in accordence with their job period. Capability level dimension analysed datas for methods and tecniques have shown an average between "some times" and "always" on teachers' opinions; "never" and "always" on students' opinions.IV Capability level dimension analysed datas for motivating the students to the subject have shown an average between "often" and "always" on teachers' opinions; "some times" and "always" on students' opinions. Capability level dimension analysed datas for using materials have shown an average between "always" and "never" on both teachers' and students' opinions. Especially, both teachers and students have shown a "never" average opinion to those which are except using classical materials.
