Examination of values education in Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Course curriculum for high school with student's point of view: The sample of Adana

The maiın purpose of this study is to examine the values education in MEB 2010 secondary education for high school education Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Course (DKAB) curriculum at 9th-10th-11th-12th grade levels from the point of view of students within scope of social values. The study group of the research consists of 1272 students aged between 15and 18, studying in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades of 9 high schools in Seyhan, Çukurova, Yüreğir, Sarıçam province in Adana for 2018-2019 academic year. The research is in mixed method and also it is in the explanatory sequential mixed method design, which is quantitative pattern and qualitative pattern are used together. The research is in relational scanning model in quantitative design. The data obtained from the Multidimensional Social Values Scale (ÇBSDÖ) were analysed and tested using the t-test, anova, Scheffe test in multiple comparisons, two-factor manova and multivariate regression analysis in the quantitative model with using SPSS package program. The findings obtained was tested at the .05 significance level in this process, and also descriptive statistics were used. The results of high school students at the level of gender, class and department regarding the social values in the DKAB Program regarding the social value items in the ÇBSDÖ inventory were analyzed and examined. According to the results of the t-test analysis, female students at the gender level, 12th grades at the grade level and Turkish-Mathematics (T-M) at the department level were determined more positively according to the results of the anova analysis. The significance of the results of this analysis was tested with the Manova and Regression analysis. The units, learning areas, and learning outcomes in the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge (ODKAB) curriculum were analyzed using the content analysis method in the qualitative model within the frame of the value items in the ÇBSDÖ inventory.
