TAS/TFRS awareness level of accounting and finance students at secondary education: A research

In present, The Uniform Chart Of Accounts and accounting standards (TMS/TFRS) are used together in accounting system within the purpose of following financial processes in commercial and industry corporations with other companies, while there is only The Uniform Chart Of Accounts be taken as a basis on the area of based vocational secondary education institutions. This case reveals difference of accounting in practice within education. As a result of this case, students had to prepare themselves for business life within missing knowledge. The purpose of this study is to establish the standards of the Turkish Accounting Standards (TMS/TFRS) in the current education system and to determine the level of awareness on the Turkish Accounting Standards (TMS/TFRS). In accordance with this purpose, it reveals how Turkish Accounting Standards(TMS/TFRS) are handled in vocational high schools. This study has been realized from current accounting MEGEP Modules which were used in secondary education institutions providing vocational education in Afyonkarahisar and student awareness survey regarding to Turkish Accounting System.
