Özet (EN)

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to develop the teaching program of the optics topic (Light, Wave Motion, Light Teories ) of the physics course that is presented in traditional methods in our high school in order to make it more attractive and easy to understand by evaluating it in aspects of wholeness and the content of the subject and the teaching methods. For this purpose, the teaching program of the " Lens" topic which is prepared in the light of the evidences obtained from the student and teacher meetings and the proposals of the experts; is implemented in two foreign language educated high school classes in Bornova Suphi Koyuncuoğlu High School. In order to control the experimental situation, one of the classes is taken as an experimental, a test including 10 fill in the blanks, 6 true or false and 14 multiple - choice questions is used. The results are evaluated by the help of the t test After evaluating the data, no significant difference is observed between the pro - test results of the control or experimental group to which the devoloped educational program is presented with modern methods shows much more improvement than the control group to which it is presented with traditional methods. At the end of the application, the interviews with the students indicate that the applied methods affect the students' interests and attitudes towards the physics course positively. At the end of the research, proposals on devoloping more qualified teaching program are introduced. VI
