» A SURVEY ON THE CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT IN HIGH SCHOOLS (M. Sc. Thesis) Ergün TÜRK GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY October 2004 ABSTRACT In this study, the classrooms and classroom equipments have been studied according to their physical and psychological aspects. The aim was to determine the problems which have a direct effect on productivity of students in the classrooms and occur in place, equipments and rigging. To determine the existing problems and students expectations in classrooms, a questionnaire was applied to 599 students and 30 teachers in 6 various high schools in the central towns of Bursa. As a result of the questionnaire, the reasons for the dissatisfaction were evaluated and suggestions for solutions were put forward. Finally, the optimum productivity, which is at the same time economical, functional and meets the needs of majority, has been defined as an ideal classroom.
